At interior elevator installations where the lack of space does not permit an interior installation ,we can consider solutions that include the eliminating of the staircase. These civil works are required for a partial or total modification of the staircase form,so that this may allow the installation of the elevator support structure and the new stair rungs.
The modification of the staircase may give way to various types of installations:
a) Fabrication of a new staircase along the exterior part of the building while using the demolished stairwell for the new elevator installation.
b) Modification of existing staircases, modifying these and creating new stairs with straight or curved layouts,at all times following guidelines set by official Building Technical Codes.
SLAB AND FORGED FLOOR CLEARANCE
If the installation is not feasible through the stairwell, but the building provides ample access to dwellings or by defect sufficiently large or ample common zones,Civil works may be realized by clearing an opening of the forged floor slabs at each level, leaving therefore the required space for the elevator installation. These jobs are always realized under supervision of a qualified Higher Technical Architect there by ensuring installation viability.
